Traditional skincare isn’t built for the outdoors, and the few available outdoor skincare products are often greasy and heavy. Through early customer research, we’ve heard a clear need for lightweight, well-formulated, and hands-free products.

Our first product is under development. It is an ultra-hydrating moisturizing stick with antioxidants and nutrient-rich natural Indigenous botanicals that help restore the skin barrier. We plan to launch it in 2026.

Priscilla Lopez

Priscilla is a social impact investment executive passionate about skincare, ancestral healing, and the outdoors. She is a climber and backpacker with deep experience in scaling ventures and a bold vision to reimagine skincare through an Indigenous lens.

CTO, CO-FOUNDER

Dr. Julio Bernal Chanchavac

Julio is a world-class chemist and avid climber. He elevates the power of ancestral botanicals with modern science in all of Tonali’s products. Julio holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Arizona State University and is a postdoctoral fellow at the UC Berkeley Kumar Lab and The Schaffer Lab.
